A proper micro in a former shop unit, the large etched glass window and sign showing opening times does affort punters inside some privacy from the street view.Internally there are two high benches fitted along each side with chunky tables,a rear room called the Dorchester with a series of round tables and traditional furniture and a small servery to the rear right with a glass faced cooling room with stillage casks behind.
There are signs saying that talking into a mobile,or playing videos, will elicit a £1 fine into the charity box,and this is enforced which I find commendable.Wall coverings include a lot about the now closed Eltham Park railway station while food is advertised as being pork pies, ploughmans ,cheese with italian meats. On my Sunday visit ,a free bowl of cheesy bites was produced,a nice old school touch from the landlady.
There is a no dogs policy, card payment prefered and there is a loyal band of regulars who seem to like the rules and the shorter opening times, worth checking in advance if you like afternoon supping.
The main attraction is the ale,on my trip the regular Tonbridge Pond Life along with Kent Quiet American Golden Ale and Wantsum Imperium Best Bitter,Ravening Wolf IPA and Heart of Darkness stout ,well kept,NBSS 4.There were 4 Eltham real ciders too.
With a decent range of styles and strengths ,the ale policy here is great and if I lived locally this would get my regular custom.Well worth seeking out ,it's not too far from the station.Deserves it's 2025 GBG listing.

Standard micro pub shop conversion that had a couple of things to make it memorable. Most of the produce seemed to be from Kent - my chose Hop Fuzz ale - and the crisps. Each of the high tables had a different newspaper on my Saturday visit.
Beers on gravity dispense from a cool room behind the bar. Make your choice from a chalk board.

Concur with Steve here in terms of this being a very decent pub offering a decent range of cask beers from a reasonable range of suppliers. Refreshing that there is nothing vaguely mainstream from anywhere other than small breweries. I got here a bit after 8pm and pleasantly quiet but not so quiet that closure for the evening was threatened. The topography is as described by Steve.
On my visit were three quaffs from Tonbridge (Pond Life -a session bitter, Old Chestnut Best Bitter and Das Kolner, what was described as a session golden ale). There was an IPA from Mad Cat called Big Stik and an imperial stout from Goocher’s at what I thought was a gimme at 4.5% abv!
Small number of non Monday opening venues in SE9 to tick off in my hitherto most unvisited SE postcode!
